Bayernland – Speciality Cheeses
Bayernland’s home in Bavaria is one of Germany’s prime milk producing areas. A major German dairy organisation for cheese and butter, their complete range of cheeses and pack varieties is extensive.
Whole cheeses, pre-packed pieces, grated, sliced, ‘chips’, cubed – mean there is a pack suitable for supermarkets, delicatessen, caterers or manufacturers.
Traditional Emmental; mild and creamy Tilsit; Raw milk Bergkäse (Mountain Cheese); a square shaped whole Brie ideal for baguettes and sandwiches, Feta in Brine; Mozzarella for pizzas and “double cream” soft cheeses are just some of the natural cheeses available.
Bayernland’s Smoked Processed Cheese naturally smoked over beech chips for longer to give strength of flavour is a prize winner. 2kg logs, 150g pieces and packed individual slices are among the packs available. Cheese spreads, tubs and triangles; cheese spread tortes, layered with smoked salmon cheese or blue cheese.
